Five new Covid-19 cases in Malaysia, tally at 55

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia confirmed five new cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus in the country today, bringing the tally of infections to 55.

The new cases were revealed by Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

Meanwhile, the Health Ministry has advised Malaysians to delay travel plans to Lombardy, Veneto and Emilia-Romagna in Italy; Hokkaido in Japan; and Tehran and Qom in Iran.

Italy, Japan and Iran are among the worst-affected countries by the Covid-19 coronavirus outside China.
